Professional Experience
Cathe Janke is a talented artist and current member at Zea Mays Printmaking in Florence, MA. Since earning her MFA from the Massachusetts College of Art in 2004, our artist, Cathe, has enriched the art community by teaching at esteemed institutions such as University of Massachusetts, Lowell and Clark University, sharing her expertise and passion for sophisticated creative expression.

From Inspiration to Innovation
With extensive experience in the art world, we are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of creativity. Cathe has explored the art scenes of India and Burma, which have significantly influenced our recent works. These experiences have enriched her understanding of diverse artistic techniques and cultural perspectives, offering a profound narrative for each of her masterpieces.
Our recent work explores a fusion of painting, printmaking, and drawing, incorporating everyday materials, found objects, seasonal plants, salt, and food coloring. Our creations include innovative elements like milkweed seed pods, which drift gracefully on air currents, and sparkles that subtly cling to people’s feet, carrying our art beyond its physical boundaries.
